To work with business through designated women empowerment intervention for a more gender equality and equity workplace
Women are always the first to bear the brunt when an emergency happens. Especially those who work in factories. They play significant roles in the workplaces, in her family, in their communities. More bitterly, the rise and fall of her family is also a business distributed to the top in her priority. However, to balance all the roles and expectations above needs to weigh too many resources and skills than they ever had.
This dilemma is always invisible to others. Not to mention grasping these resources and skills has a strong and necessary connection to their career enhancement.
"The leaky pipeline" phenomena not only exist in large companies but also prevail in factories. According to the data provided by our cooperated factories in China, only 8.3% of the management in the apparel factories are female, less than 1% in electronics factories. These minorities need to work harder and learn more skills in order to obtain upward mobility career development opportunities. Much less the 70%, those who work in front of the assembly line in a factory has directly affected the efficiency of the enterprise/factory. There is evidence that the more soft skills female workers master, the more annual profits the enterprise gain.
In a case, 33% of female workers were linked to training on vocational soft skills in communication, decision making, and time management and the company's annual profit increased by 5% compared with previous years. 10+ companies/supply chain factories/international brands generate strategies according to their employees' career development system and turn to ProF for customizing their own female empowerment programme.

In the past, Chen only had a narrow contact with only a few of her colleagues in the factory, which results in her being working in the same factory for 10 years but still feeling quite unfamiliar with other fellows, especially with those working on the production line. Therefore, she signed up for a course to learn more efficient communicative skills at work, seizing this opportunity to get to know more of her colleagues in the company. "Keeping three hearts in your workplace" made her realise how to better communicate with colleagues, while the others around her also noticed that she was more cheerful and willing to take the initiative to start a conversation with others. As a member of the human resources department, she hopes to organise more activities for female employees in the company in the future, so that they can also have continual improvements.
Factory
Bai has been working in the factory for 5 years. Since she is familiar with the operation and piece-counting standards of the assembly line, and for the reason that the quality of the finished product will be included in the assessment, she’s hoping that the whole assembling line will work together to keep close to the standard. But every time her communication with her co-workers didn't go well - they were not paying attention to her, which often frustrated her.
It happened that the factory launched the "Personal Advancement and Career Evolution (P.A.C.E.)" training program, and Bai signed up for this immediately when she saw the keyword of "work communication". After the course, she realised that her previous ways of communicating with her co-workers were rather rude. Since then, she changed the way of her communication, and the whole team finally acknowledged that everyone's work counts into the whole process and will thus affect the whole assembling line they were in, as well as their wages. Therefore, the workers have been cooperating, with the compliment and appreciation from the customers coming in when they were impressed by the quality of the finished products during the acceptance check.

Gao works in the nursery, as well as being a wife and the mother of two girls, which means she needs to balance her life for caring for two young kids and going to work during the day. Given her work already consumes her patience for kids, so the naughtiness of her two daughters will make her get irritable. She often couldn't help but yell at them. Seeing the recruitment of a course called "Personal Advancement and Career Evolution (P.A.C.E.)”, she signed up immediately. To her, this is an opportunity to improve the skills for communication with children. At the graduation ceremony, Gao came to the stage to express her feelings, holding the rose from the children tightly, said in a choked voice to her daughters: "Mom loves you." After the course, whenever she’s at the edge of losing her temper, the girls will remind her: “Mom, have you not attended the courses? Don't yell so loudly. "
